Hyattsville/Landover (MD) Alumni Chapter - 30th Anniversary - Souvenir Program
Dear Brothers:
Greetings from your brothers in the Bond at the Hyattsville/Landover (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
In March 2009, the Hyattsville/Landover (MD) Alumni Chapter will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its chartering in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Our history in Prince George’s County has been a rich and rewarding one because of the service that we have provided the citizens of the county. Some of our community service projects and activities have included our spring and fall SAT and Financial Aid Workshops, preparation of Food Baskets for needy families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, Voter Registration Drives, Essay Contests for high school students, participation in the African American Male Achievement Network (AMAN) and our Annual Student of the Year Program where we present scholarships to students in Prince George’s County.
As we prepare to celebrate our 30th anniversary we seek your support in the form of advertisements for our souvenir program. The souvenir program will provide an excellent opportunity for our chapter to recognize your chapter and for your chapter to demonstrate its support to the community by helping us sustain our outreach projects and activities especially those projects and activities that are youth related.
The souvenir program will be 8.5 inches x 11 inches and your chapter’s message will be displayed to achieve maximum visibility. The prices for advertisements are: full page $175; half page $150; quarter page $75; business card; $50 and patron listing $25.
We ask that you provide your camera ready advertisement and payment by Saturday, February 7, 2009. Make payment payable to Hyattsville/Landover Alumni Chapter Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Please send your payment, advertisement and the attached Souvenir Program Advertisement Agreement c/o Hyattsville/Landover (MD) Alumni Chapter Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. 30th Anniversary Planning Committee; Michael A. Theta Psi Chapter will participate in Virginia Tech Homecoming Stepshow
The Theta Psi Chapter (Virginia Tech) will participate in the local NPHC (National Pan Hellenic Council) Homecoming Stepshow. The stepshow will be Friday, October 3, 2008 at 7:00 PM on the campus of Virginia Tech at Squires in the Commonwealth Ballroom. Admission is $7 for Greeks and $10 for general admission. IF you are able to do so, please come out and support the Nupes! Good luck to our collegiate brothers!

2008 Officers Workshop Registration Details
The following chapter officers are required to attend the Eastern Province Officers Workshop on August 23, 2008:

The workshop will be held at the Crown Plaza Richmond West, 6531West Broad Street, Richmond VA 23230 (phone number is 804-285-9951). This is a one day workshop. However, some Brothers may want to stay overnight due to the workshop starting at 8:00 am or to attend the Province Board meeting on August 22, 2008 starting at 7 pm.
IMPORTANT: (IF YOU PLAN TO STAY OVERNIGHT)
* WE NEED TO KNOW ASAP SO WE CAN INFORM THE HOTEL NOT LATER THAN AUGUST 1, 2008. (Please send this information to Brother Crutchfield at and Brother Steven Hairston at .)
* All room reservations must be made on or before Friday, August 8, 2008. Call the hotel at 804-285-9951 or 877-531-2699 and ask for the Kappa Alpha Psi group rate.
* The room rate is $85.00 per room. Brothers are asked to check-in by 6:00 pm.
Each Brother attending the workshop is asked to pay a $35.00 registration fee to cover hospitality on Friday, lunch on Saturday, and other incidentals. The fee must be paid by August 15, 2008.
