Elizabeth Dhane

I like Alice Neal’s way of painting.  She usually will finish a painting in one sitting.  The work is stylized and yet abstract.  I like to use vibrant color, and the brush stroke is as important to me as the image.

I have been a member of The Market Gallery from the beginning year and recently returned after a year off.

I received a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from Virginia Commonwealth University and as associate degree in commercial art from Virginia Western Community College.  I have taken classes in the M.A.L S. program at Hollins University.  I have also studied privately with Ann Glover in Roanoke, VA.
