Roberta McGuire

Color, shape and dimension are the elements of art that interest me most, and what I focus on when expressing my ideas. Authentic and creative expression of my thoughts and feelings about the subject is a constant goal of mine, and the Virginia landscape is a constant inspiration.  Using layering techniques, I work with acrylic on canvas and also ink on aluminum for three dimensional wall sculptures.

I have a Masters Degree in Liberal Studies from Hollins University, with a concentration in art.  For the past 25 years I have studied with a number of nationally known artists, and I have work in many private and corporate collections.
