  Currently our featured artists are Anne Way Bernard, Nancy Dahlstrom and Nan Mahone WellbornArt by Night is on the first Friday of each month   Downtown galleries and the Taubman Museum of Art are open.

The next ABN is Friday, June 7, 2013,  5:00 - 9pm, featuring Rod Adams and Anna Wentworth whose show open May 31 through June 29, 2013. Light refreshments will be served.  This is a good time to visit the gallery during a leisurely evening in the lively and historic downtown Market area of Roanoke. Light refreshments are served. Gallery talks at 6:30pm and 7:00pm.

The gallery will be open Sunday during the Sidewalk Art SHow in downtown Roanoke.

We greatly appreciate the donation of finger foods from The Quarter, a Louisiana-style restaurant on Salem Ave. and our neighbor!

Welcome to The Market Gallery, located on the historic market in downtown Roanoke, Virginia at 23 Salem Avenue on the corner of Wall Street and Salem Ave (see map and directions below).

Our gallery is an artist member cooperative of twenty-six regional artists who exhibit paintings, drawings, assemblages, sculpture, serigraphs, photography, pottery, urban artifacts and other artforms. Click on ARTISTS to see representative images.

The Market Gallery is a member of Roanoke's Art By Night. Over fifteen galleries near to downtown Roanoke stay open from 5-9 pm on the first Friday night of each month. Hours of Operation:

Our hours of operation are from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday through Saturday.  Free parking in the parking garages. Art By Night is the first Friday of the month and we will be open from 5pm to around 9pm. 2013 dates are: Jan. 4, Feb 1, Mar. 1, Apr. 5, May 3, June 7, July 5, Aug 2, Sep. 6, Oct. 4, Nov. 1, Dec. 6.  Our gallery is wheelchair accessible and stroller-friendly.

Special Events

The Market Gallery welcomes Sharon Miraherti, as our new member.Her artwork is now on display in the gallery. Her specialty is printmakng and she works with encaustics. Currently Sharon is the featured artist from Jan 1-Jan 26, 2013
